About The Gathering.
The inspiration for this piece came from a documentary I watched about a small village in Northern Finland where the town folk used gather to discuss important matters about their village. What interested me was that they used to hold the meetings in low temperatures and then after all matters had been resolved go to the nearest pub, warm up and get drunk. I think it came about because the Finn’s realised that there thoughts/ideas were at their best when they were sober and freezing cold.
I enjoyed making this piece as I knew the colourful clothing against the white show would make for an beautiful piece of art.
When a limited edition print is purchased the buyer will then take ownership of that ‘number’ of that print and have access to further copies (of different sizes) of that print for a cost comprising of the printing costs and an admin fee.
Purchase of any limited print also gives you membership to the wconnollyart club which gives you the opportunity to purchase any other art piece for 50% of its original price.
