About The Blue Fire.
This is an oil painting that I did last year and although I liked the original painting I was never fully happy with the hue of the orange behind ‘the fire’. When I started the painting the idea was to paint an ‘orange’ fire on a blue backround, as you would. Then I thought, why not paint a ‘blue fire’ on an orange backround, and so The Blue Fire was born. The digital version of this painting is better because It was possible to find the ‘exact’ orange that I wanted in the original painting. It was also possible to enhance ‘the fire’ using digital techniques.
As a result it is a very popular piece of art and it is for this reason that I will sell twenty of these, all numbered and signed of course.
