This painting was all about this colour purple which I mixed and then finding the right blue to work perfectly with it. The shape was originally just the blue surround trapping the purple field but it seemed a bit ‘boring’ to me and so I played about with it a bit! It has proved very popular and I have been meaning to do something since I painted it (in April).
